Assignment # 7 - Mini Saga

My chiropractor hurt his back waterskiing as a child. He went to the doctor and was informed he couldn’t water ski anymore. Disappointed, he went to the chiropractor to get it checked. That same day he was out waterskiing again, immediately realizing what he wanted to do for a career.

  1. Nice story, Mike! However, I kind of knew the whole story from the first sentence. I don't know if that's good or bad, but I thought it would've been better if the end was a surprised. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Mike this story made me smile. It had an emotional impact on me because I recall the beauty of watersking!

I also recall many children sharing these same thought as they grow up!

  3. Cool story Mike. I like how the ending brings everything full circle, as it led right back into the beginning. Nice work.

  4. I like the "straight to the point" aspect of the story. Although, if i was the kid i would of become a water ski instructor rather than a chiropractor.

  5. I tend to agree with Khalid, but still thought it was a funny little story. Why couldn't I have figured out what I wanted to be so easily??

  6. Solid story, Mike. Great insight on another human being. I feel like I know something about them in only 50 words.

  7. Michael,
I think your story sends an important message that we find out what we are destined to do in very unique ways. For example, I have a couple of friends who suffered injuries throughout our childhood related to sports and have now gone on to the Physical Therapists or Athletic Trainers. Thank you for sharing your story with us!
