My chiropractor hurt his back waterskiing as a child. He went to the doctor and was informed he couldn’t water ski anymore. Disappointed, he went to the chiropractor to get it checked. That same day he was out waterskiing again, immediately realizing what he wanted to do for a career.
Nice story, Mike! However, I kind of knew the whole story from the first sentence. I don't know if that's good or bad, but I thought it would've been better if the end was a surprised. Thanks for sharing!

For example, I have a couple of friends who suffered injuries throughout our childhood related to sports and have now gone on to the Physical Therapists or Athletic Trainers.
